In Search of Meaning: 12 Week Support Group

“In Search of Meaning” is a 12-week support group for individuals who want to feel more engaged, alive, and oriented toward what matters to them. The group focuses on helping participants reconnect with a sense of vitality through a deeper exploration of what they find meaningful in their lives.

Across psychological and philosophical traditions, meaning is closely linked to vitality. Meaning can emerge in many realms of life—our relationships with others, our relationship with ourselves, our work, creative pursuits, desire for adventure or travel, and our capacity to be present. When meaning is accessible, we tend to experience greater presence, connectedness, curiosity, and a belief in the inherent value and beauty of life.

Many experiences can disrupt our sense of meaning—feeling repeatedly unseen or unappreciated by the people who matter most to us, feeling overwhelmed by the obligations of everyday life, and living within systems that leave little room for humanity.

Reconnecting with a sense of meaning is a way of reclaiming agency over our lives.

This group will use both the relationship you have with yourself and the relationships formed within the group as vehicles for rediscovering meaning.

The group uses ideas from psychoanalytic therapy, existential therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
